like staring out of a taxi window, engulfed by neon lights

all i know is i really don’t want the after to be like the before.

the saddest thing, i think, is boys who have so much potential and just can’t realise it. in a few more years, they could be, will be, amazing men.

the rest of us just have to be spectators. as much as we just want to get in there and win the game for them, we have to settle for being the soccer mom on the sidelines. the ones who will cheer them on and clean their wounds, but never jump in to the game for them.

the only difference with this is having to be a part of their painful mistakes.
